New Year’s Eve has been a great night for some and its mostly one of the nights that they will never forget. Parties everywhere and countdowns in every establishment that there can be, that is something that we could be excited about. Most would be having so much fun outside but there would also be some who would just be staying home and just be watching the fireworks display in the safety of their homes. You cant really blame them since there are a lot of accidents that happens every Holiday in the US, and you can only imagine how much more can there be in other countries as well. But when there are accidents, you would be thinking its car-related or anything party related. But what this Sydney man experienced may have been in between the two. Well, you can definitely say that the tragedy happened when he was picking out a carton of beer, and accidentally dropped it right before he can go to the safety of his car. He definitely started his new year’s eve really bad.

A viral photo of a man seemingly crying is going viral in the internet. An onlooker, Tayon McCafferty, captured the moment when he saw the man drop his carton of beer seconds after the store he had bought on has closed its doors after he leaves their establishment. He was captured looking at his broken beers and as McCafferty says, ‘The more broken six packs he pulled out, the sadder he became.’ McCafferty was standing outside the Queen Victoria Hotel in Enmore when he noticed the man.

‘He had bought a case and when he walked out of the bottle shop, they locked the door behind him,’ he said.

Well, we don’t blame him. That was a carton of beer, and we’re guessing that most of the bottles just cannot be saved. He might have been startled when the store owner closed the door behind him and resulted to him dropping his carton. Its such a heart breaking thing, especially when you were the one who paid for it. The man just sat there looking gloomy and was captured putting his hands in his head in defeat. It seems like most of his bottles can’t truly be saved after the devastating fall.

Anyway, we don’t know why, but McCafferty took pictures of the man and posted it on Reddit just to make this guy’s New Year much better than what happened. The post had many commenters and it has attracted a lot of sympathy for the man. Some described it as ‘an Aussie tragedy’.

‘Poor guy, I want to buy him a card or something,’ one commenter said.

‘This is the adult version of a kid licking an ice cream and then having it fall from the cone,’ another noted.

Plenty of others said ‘that’s why you buy cans’.
